W. Thomas Wadley

Possessing a profound sense of justice and standing up for others from an early age, Mr. Wadley was often called the ‘public defender’ as a child by his mother for taking up for his brother and sister when they found themselves in trouble. This sense of justice has carried over into his over forty-plus-year legal career.
He responds to direct questions and asks hard ones too, knowing that his clients benefit most from bringing out the truth. Mr. Wadley is an experienced trial lawyer who has jury trial experience in state and Federal court in both civil and criminal cases. He was board certified by the Florida Bar in 1994 as a criminal trial specialist and maintained that distinction for 20 years. During that time he volunteered to represent individuals who could not afford a lawyer as court-appointed counsel in state and Federal court. These cases also gave him the opportunity to become capital qualified, where he handles a number of serious murder cases.
Mr. Wadley has never worked for a corporation, insurance company, or government agency. His entire career has been spent representing individuals who found themselves either accused of being on the wrong side of the law in criminal court or victims of carelessness and negligence who needed help. What Mr. Wadley brings to each case is a sharp eye for details, a willingness to ask questions with candor and a genuine work ethic.
Insurance companies can be stubborn in their refusal to justly compensate victims of careless negligence in a timely fashion. Mr. Wadley has learned to take action in these kinds of cases by filing lawsuits and litigating claims to successful settlements. He has handled dozens of mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Mr. Wadley is a third-generation Florida native who grew up in Tampa, where he attended Hillsborough High School. He graduated from Auburn University in 1979 and Stetson College of Law in two and a half years in December 1981 and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1982 when he was only 24 years old. He has a son who is a University of Florida graduate in engineering. In his free time he likes to exercise and read non-fiction.
Ainsley MacDonald Smith
After graduating from Rollins College, Ainsley moved to Detroit, Michigan, where she worked as a trademark assistant for a Patent Attorney. This prompted Ainsley to pursue a career in the legal field, and her love for the beach and warm weather brought her back to Florida. Ainsley earned her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida. In 2017, while in law school, Ainsley was hired as a law clerk at GSW Law (previously known as GBY & Associates), where she began to develop an interest in personal injury law.
After graduating from law school in 2019 and passing the Florida Bar Exam, Ainsley decided to continue her legal career in the personal injury field, assisting victims of injury claims. Ainsley’s background in the biological sciences gives her a unique ability to understand personal injury at the physical level. In addition to personal injury, Ainsley also specializes in estate planning.
In addition to being an attorney, Ainsley is also an ultramarathon runner. She typically competes in two to three races per year, ranging in distances anywhere from 32 to 100 miles. Ainsley loves being out in nature, running the Florida trails in the Florida Sunshine. In addition to running, Ainsley also enjoys traveling, exploring different countries, and experiencing new cultures and cuisines.
